The Phase II Final Review was a critical evaluation of 14 months of DRL accomplishment. Fluxi+Z was challenged on thesis issues but well recognized for constant excellence in project development.

Fluxi has brought both and architectural and an urban proposal into fruition using a parametric development cycle. The cycle contrasts a set of coordinated subsystems over a vast range of parametric variations based on local observation values from urban sites.

The latest development in the cycle is the landscape cell unit. This unit directly attaches each tower into a connected layer of landscape cells with multiply and link continuously over a vast expanse. Following the landscape invention is the conjunction of multiple subsystems in two or more architectural prototypes. This allows for a free organization across the urban field that accepts spatial difference more readily than before.

Goals for the remaining weeks in the DRL are a synthesis of the project aims and culmination of its results, and finally hopes to achieve further advances such as stronger approach to multiple architectural scenarios and an urban grasp at the architectural site.

Fluxi+z Is Invited To Exhibit At S.H.O.W.

"S.H.O.W. (Students Hail Own Work) is an afternoon of student presentations that takes place during Open Week, showing completed projects and portfolios from the previous academic year. Around twelve individuals and groups‚ representing the spectrum from Foundation to Graduate School will present in a blisteringly quick-fire format that sees them literally trying to keep up with themselves. Alongside, for that afternoon only, students will bring in portfolios, models and self-made books for all to browse through. S.H.O.W. is set up to demystify, towards the start of the academic year, what constitutes AA student work. It is also an opportunity to get an insight on the various pedagogical strands that make up the school. Everyone is invited, from new to returning to prospective students and other visitors. It is a chance to discuss and debate current agendas and approaches through the prism of some of the best student projects of last year."

Final Phase I Research
The design proposal for the 235-hectare site in Moscow seeks to pose super-coordination through gradational relations at different scales and levels as a critique to the newly developing Moscow City sits east of the site, which is an uncoordinated urban cacophony and is seemingly a common phenomenon in areas undergoing rapid urbanization.

An internal to external structure configuration supports the range of tower and high density building conditions. The two-plate and core system has a central structural tie, and are wrapped by the external skeleton, which also constrains the phasad.

Injective Field Composition

The site has a 235 hectar area between two
river frontages to the west of Moscow city.
The site is between the second and third outer
rings of Moscow.

The proposal is a decentralized urban model
that avoids the chaos of new Moscow City Architecture
and the monotony of Soviet Era
buildings using scripted urbanism.

Early material studies of fluids lead to a study
of force transformations within adaptable
fields, which could be modeled with great opportunity
for architectural diversity and complexity.

The loft structures contain information about density and proximity and give a variety of complex phenotypical patterns.

This is a study on proximity-generated lofting that takes the boundary function to new 3D levels. All the component units in the field follow the direction of the lines traveling through the space which warps the entire form of the field, producing a differentiated and textured space internally.
